Before I started flying in the sim, my previous flight experience was in Microsoft Flight Sim 98 and eventually Microsoft FSX. Flying has not always been my number one online arena. To be honest, I can't believe I am still doing it. But I suppose, that is the addiction. I used to play Dirt Track Racing Sprint Cars by "ratbag" before I eventually went all out and got involved in NASCAR by Papyrus 2003. Which by the way is the ultimate in NASCAR racing. EA NASCAR games sucked. Someday I will try iRacing.com (which I'm sure is better than NASCAR 2003, since it is coded by the programmers of Papyrus 2003.) but for now it has just been Warbirds.
I am happily married since 2005 to my beautiful wife Mrs. drdart. We do not have any children, but love the heck out of our pets. When I am not flying, I enjoy computers, mostly PC's but I am starting to learn the Mac as well. I have been building PC's for friends for about 6 years now and have accumulated a fair share of parts if friends are in need. This technology is rapidly changing, so much so that parts become outdated quickly. I probably throw more parts away, than I use for repairs.
I grew up in a small town in Upstate, N.Y. about 20 minutes from the capital, Albany. I have been in the auto parts industry (NAPA AUTO PARTS) since 1986, and just this past year completed 29 years there. In 2010 my wife and I were awarded an all expense paid cruise to the Cayman Islands for our store being rated 5 Stars. It was a great time.
